Dance Instructors

Kathy White, Lead Instructor Mrs. White is a qualified member of the BATD and SDTA. She has owned and operated a large Highland dance school in Duncan since 1978. Kathy is an accomplished choreographer whose dancers have won many top awards in competitions throughout Canada, the USA and Scotland. 2003 will mark the third year of her increasingly successful summer school.

Angus Mckenzie Former adult World Champion Highland Dancer, Angus is in great demand as a teacher. He will again bring his enthusiasm and expertise to the school. Angus owns and operates dance schools in Vancouver and Squamish.

Mary Munro Mary is a fellow of the BATD and a member of the SOBHD Adjudicator Panel. As a competitive dancer her many awards included the Adult British Overseas Championship and First Runner Up in the Adult World Championship. 

Heather Richendrfer In addition to a long career as a judge and teacher, Heather is an accomplished choreographer and Irish step dance teacher. Several of her students have become US Highland dance reps.

Deborah Ward An accomplished competitive and teacher in her own right, Deborah will be joining the school for the first time this year, bringing her own unique perspective.

Adam McKinnon Adam started his dance career with the Frances Kelsey School Dancers. As well as teaching Hip Hop, he has won top awards for his talents. Always a favorite of the students, we look forward to his return.
